A tough draw with the visitors fielding no less than 8 Billingham League players

Single 2 wood - P Chivers - was 9-2 but the opponent brought the mat up and scored all the points finally winning 18-9 

Single 4 wood - Ron Prior had a very tight match where both teams leading several times, before a strong finish leaving Ron the winner 21-15. An excellent point for us

Pairs - Ken & Mark White - were 7 down after 4 ends following dropping a 5 on the 3rd. With a 6 on the 8th left them just 3 shots down, sadly dropped another 5 on the 10th which they never recovered from finally losing 20-23

Triples - Lindsay Dave Mill Ian Harper - Steady start by us being 6 up after 4 ends. Then allowed the opposition to pick up 12 shots in 3 ends leaving us 7-13 after 9 ends. Rest of the ends shared except a 5 on the 15th which sealed the win for the opposition 13-23

Rinks - Stuart Hooker  Bryan Smethurst  Gwilym & Ian Ford  a fairly tight rink with steady scoring from each team for the first 11 ends. Witterings then only gained a further 2 shots to the oppositions 13 leaving us defeated 10-21
