On a lovely sunny June afternoon it was lovely to welcome back to our green SCRIBO, a touring team from Essex who last visited two years ago. There was a spirit of competitive camaraderie on the green, the phrase 'there is no such thing as a friendly fixture' springing to mind. Scores on all of the 5 rinks were close after 10 ends when there was a refreshments break. When play resumed Witterings proved to be the stronger over the remaining 8 ends, winning on 4 rinks and drawing on the 5th for an overall score of 89-50. Our visitors hope to visit us next in 2025.
