Witterings entertained the Oxford Bowling Club touring side, recently renamed from Rover (Cowley) on a hot sunny afternoon. A very enjoyable time was had by all with a very tight game being won 3 rinks to 2 by the tourists.

Lesley Swift, Judy Bangs, Lindsay Bangs and Barry Horsley won 14 - 13

Brian Curtis, Tony Nixon, Pat Hutton and Chris Horsley lost 7 - 15

Mike Trusler, Val hooker, Stuart Hooker ad Frank Bray lost 15 - 17

Maurice Lillywhite, Georgina Porter, Chris Jelf and Carole Tuffin lost 12 - 19
