Witterings 91 v Pembrokeshire Tourists.110

We were very lucky to welcome over 40 Pembrokeshire Tourists to our Green for the first game of the Season.

and despite heavy rainfall the week before, the Green had been prepared by Ken Clark to an excellent

condition. Pembrokeshire Tourists fielded a strong team against us and our lack of green time and our

decision to play all members who had indicated their desire to play resulted in Witterings losing 91 points

to 110 points, winning on only one rink with a team skipped by Chris Horsley.

After the match the whole group enjoyed refreshments in the club house before the Tourists returned to their hotel in Bognor Regis

but not before they had given us an impromptu chorus of ‘We’ll Keep a Welcome in the Hillsides’
