Witterings 104 - Fareham 67

Sunday the 26th June saw the Witterings go away to play Fareham in a Mixed Friendly Match. 

Unfortunately we were unable to take sufficient players for the five rinks requested, however

with the assistance of the Fareham Club we were able to field 2 rinks and 3 triples. The day

was successful for ourselves, winning overall by 37 points. Scores were as follows:

Kate Nixon,Alan May, Daphne Nicholas (F) and Stuart Hooker, (skip) Lost 13 – 18.

Ann Miles, Ray Dory (F), Anne May and Marina Aylward (skip) Won 25 – 15,

Judy Bangs, Colin Carter and Tony Nixon (skip) lost 10 – 15.

Val Hooker, Chris Jelf and Diane Leach (skip) won 26 – 12,

Sheila Currell, Ron Prior and Lindsay Bangs (skip) won 30 – 7.

A very pleasant and enjoyable afternoon and we look forward to

a return match at Witterings on the 23rd July. The sixth rink was composed of Fareham Players.

An overall win for Witterings by 37 shots.
