DATES FOR YOUR DIARY 2023/4

1) Firstly, don't forget the CHICKEN CHASE Friday, 21st July, starting at 3.30 pm. Thanks to Bryan for organising our chicken chases, and don't forget to bring £2.50 to play. Prizes are of course chickens! We're going to have some card games in the clubhouse afterwards, for anyone who'd like to join us.

 2) The next CHICKEN CHASE is Friday, 18th August and this will be starting at 1.30 pm. An earlier start so please make a note.

SPECIAL EVENT: 

This chicken chase will be followed by a 45 minute set from the local BRACKLESHAM UKELELE BAND and they'll be choosing some great songs for us all to have a good sing along to.  We're going to print out some songsheets so everyone will have the words. Afterwards your social team will be serving chilli con carne and rice, with garlic bread. There will be a veggie chilli too, for those that prefer it "sin carne". Price for this special event is just £6.  Please sign up on the Social Notice Board for this, and make it a fun time for all.

 3) Saturday, 16th September, the last CHICKEN CHASE of the season.  More details later.

 4) FINALS WEEKEND 2nd and 3rd September

 5) Saturday, 23rd September - the CLOSING OF THE GREEN.  We plan to have fish and chips brought in for those who sign up for this (watch out for a poster soon) and after our supper, we hope to organise candlelit bowls to celebrate the end of the season.

 6) Saturday, 7th October - HARVEST LUNCH followed by trophy PRESENTATIONS.  Reserve the date!   More details later.

7) Christmas lunches in December are organised by the Mens and Ladies Captains and dates will, I'm sure, follow in due course.

8) Thursday, 8th February 2024, HANDBAGS AND GLADRAGS, an evening visit to Restaurant 64 at Chichester College where the catering students will serve us an arrival drink and three course meal.  Date is provisionally booked and will be confirmed as soon as their 23/24 diary opens in August. Current pricing is £20, so that is a ballpark figure for now, and great value it is too.  A chance to dress up in our finery ladies and gentlemen! Watch out for a sign up poster once confirmed, on the social notice board.
