Gwilym Morgan's team had a good start building up to a 15-8 lead after 15 ends only to drop 5 shots over the last 3 ends leaving the score 15-13.

 Ron Prior's team had a tough afternoon after dropping 10 shots in 5 ends leaving them 13-2 down after 7 ends the remaining ends were evenly shared so the gap was never recovered leaving them with a 13-21 loss.
